About Us

Attorney Brad Sowell was raised in Bowling Green, KY.  Brad graduated from Bowling Green High School in 2002, where he was a member of the Purples football team.  In 2007, Brad earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Kentucky.  Brad attended Mississippi College School of Law, and he received his juris doctorate degree in 2011, graduating with the distinction of magna cum laude and in the top 10% of his class.

Following his admission to the Kentucky Bar Association in 2011, Brad returned to Bowling Green and began practicing as an Associate Attorney with the law firm of McCracken & Judd.  By 2012, he began practicing with Gary S. Logsdon & Associates, where he would remain until 2015.  In the Summer of 2015, Brad founded Sowell, Stevenson & Steidl, where he would serve as the Managing Partner of his Firm for the next four years.  During his career, Brad has successfully prosecuted thousands of workers' compensation claims throughout the Commonwealth.

In addition to practicing law, Brad is also an active member of the recovery community.  Brad has been sober since May 6, 2019, and he and his Wife (Billie Jean) founded Victory Lane Sober Living in Bowling Green in 2020.  Today, their Program has grown to encompass a dozen homes, and they help 120+ men and women in early recovery on a daily basis.  Brad also serves as a volunteer with the Kentucky Lawyers' Assistance Program (KYLAP), an organization which seeks to help other attorneys who are struggling with alcoholism, addiction or other mental health disease.

Brad was married in the Spring of 2020 to his Wife, Billie Jean.  Together, they have four sons (Cayden, Gavin, Nolan and Brennan) and two golden doodles (Rippy and Tucker).  Brad's home and office is based in Bowling Green, but he has successfully handled workers' compensation cases from Paducah to Pikeville, Franklin to Florence, and everywhere in between.
